Haircuts
The Lob
The lob, or long bob is a modern take on the classic bob, usually sitting between the shoulders and collarbone. Its popularity comes from its effortless, versatile look – giving the structure of a bob while keeping enough length for styling flexibility.
The lob has become a major trend because it suits a wide range of face shapes, hair textures and personal styles. It can be worn sleek and polished, soft and textured, or with natural movement, making it easy to personalise.
WHY IT’S TRENDING
- Gives a fresh change without going very short
- Thin hair can appear more full by cutting wispy ends off
- Can be beautifully paired with face framing
The Jennifer Anniston
A smooth layered cut with strong face framing layers. Different takes on this cut reappear every few years and is a classic style that never goes out of fashion.
Styled straight, polished and smooth. The ends are softly tucked inwards for a sleek, understated finish with movement and shine.
Long hair + bangs
Long, softly layered hair with wispy curtain bangs that frame the eyes and cheekbones. The cut feels relaxed and effortless, while the airy fringe adds softness, movement and a subtly undone, romantic finish.
As seen here on Daisy Edgar Jones.
Styling
Crimp + wave combinations
Not necessarily fullhead crimping, Think crimp-and-wave combinations, mermaid hair and runway-inspired texture. The result is messy, effortless-looking waves that still feel beautiful, as seen on Alix Earle.
Up-do's
Romantic French Twist
A soft, romantic updo that steps away from slick-backs.
No part ponytail
A clean, voluminous ponytail with no visible parting
Loose French braid
A relaxed, braid-inspired look with the effortless energy of trendy Stockholm girlies.
Half up half down
Finished with a French barrette clip and a voluminous blowout.
Colour
Expensive brunettes
We’ve now all heard about expensive blonde, the personalised placement, luxurious, low maintenance colour that looks expensive, and grows out without harsh lines. Expensive blonde made us realise that brunettes can be luxurious and dimensional too!
The base brunette will get even richer and more chocolatey going into 2027. We’ll see lots of warm tones, subtle caramel highlights and ultra-glossy finishes. As more women focus on keeping their hair healthy, we think there will be a bigger shift towards shiny, dimensional brunettes that look natural, healthy and effortlessly beautiful.
Lived-in blondes
We predict blondes will become more lived-in , with deeper roots and softer blends for a more natural look. Healthier, glossier hair will also be a big focus, alongside warmer blonde tones inspired by celebrities and influencers over summer, giving blondes a more beachy, sun-kissed look.
Moodier coppers
Reds and coppers will become deeper and richer, with shades like cherry brunette, red wine, auburn and burnt copper becoming more popular. We also predict more glossy colours with added depth and dimension, keeping the hair looking healthy and natural.
Hair dyes have come along way in the last few years and we are now seeing richer and brighter shades as well as much longer lasting products.
